Who we are

This privacy notice is provided by Tariah Artificial Intelligence ("we", "us", or "our"), the data controller responsible for the Ascend platform. We are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy rights.

What personal data we collect

  • Identity and contact data: name, email address, and any information you provide during account registration or assessment responses.
  • Account and login data: login credentials, authentication tokens, and session information.
  • Usage and telemetry data: how you interact with the platform, feature usage, device identifiers, and IP address.
  • Support data: messages, feedback, or inquiries you send to our support team.
  • Payment data: transaction history and billing information. Full payment card details are processed securely by our payment provider and are not stored by us.

How we use your data

  • To create and manage your account and provide the Ascend assessment and reporting services.
  • To generate your personalised AI readiness report, roadmap, and recommendations.
  • To maintain security, prevent fraud, and verify your identity.
  • To improve our product features and user experience through aggregated analytics.
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases: contract performance (to deliver the services you signed up for), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, and product improvement), consent (where you have opted in to marketing communications), and legal obligation (where required by applicable law).

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers: hosting, analytics, customer support, and email delivery partners who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality.
  • Paddle.com: our Merchant of Record for payment processing, subscription management, tax compliance, and invoicing. Paddle processes payment data as an independent controller for its own purposes.
  • Professional advisers: legal and accounting professionals where necessary.
  • Authorities: where required by law or to protect our rights.

Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. We will delete or anonymise your data when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at tonye@tariahai.com. We will respond within one month.

If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to enable core functionality such as authentication and security. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with our platform. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings.

International transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your jurisdiction. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions to ensure an adequate level of protection.
